What You’ll Study

Programmes typically require around 30 credit hours. Coursework covers embedded and real-time systems, sensors and signal processing, machine learning on resource-constrained devices, IoT architectures and connectivity, low-power design, and hardware-software co-design, with a thesis or hardware project.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Applications span industrial automation and predictive maintenance, smart agriculture and environmental sensing — both directly relevant to Pakistan — consumer and medical devices, automotive and drone systems, and smart metering and energy management, which connects to grid modernisation work.

The combination is genuinely scarce: most engineers know embedded systems or machine learning, and comparatively few know both well. That scarcity works in graduates’ favour, and edge AI is expanding internationally as more processing moves onto devices for latency, cost and privacy reasons. Expect a smaller number of domestic openings than general software roles, but less competition for them.

Admission Requirements
