B.Tech Civil Engineering Technology is a four-year applied degree covering construction supervision, site engineering, surveying, quantity estimation and materials testing. It is oriented toward implementation and operation rather than design.

Engineering Technology vs. Engineering

A Bachelor of Engineering Technology is a four-year applied degree oriented toward implementation, operation, maintenance and testing, whereas a BSc/BS engineering degree is oriented toward design and analysis with heavier mathematics and theory. The two are treated differently by the Pakistan Engineering Council, and registration pathways differ — engineering technology graduates are generally registered separately from engineers, where registration applies at all. What You’ll Study

Coursework combines the technical fundamentals of the discipline with heavy practical, laboratory and workshop content, plus applied project work. The emphasis throughout is on being able to do the work rather than derive the theory behind it.

FSc Pre-Engineering or an equivalent qualification, plus the engineering entrance test used by the university. Merit combines intermediate results with test performance.
