BS AI Security and Cyber Intelligence is a four-year undergraduate degree at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cyber security — using machine learning for threat detection and intelligence, and securing AI systems themselves.

Why This Combination Exists

Security has become a data problem. The volume of logs, network traffic and telemetry that organisations generate far exceeds what analysts can review manually, so detection increasingly depends on machine learning. At the same time, AI systems have introduced their own attack surface — adversarial inputs, model poisoning and prompt manipulation — which conventional security training does not address. This degree targets both sides.

What You’ll Study

Coursework covers programming and data structures, networks and systems security, machine learning and data analysis, threat intelligence and detection engineering, digital forensics, adversarial machine learning and AI security, and security operations.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Graduates target security operations and detection engineering, threat intelligence analysis, security data science, and AI security roles. Banks, telecom operators and managed security providers are building detection capability, and the AI-plus-security combination is scarce.

Public salary platforms commonly cite cybersecurity analyst pay at PKR 70,000-150,000 per month for early-to-mid career roles and AI/ML roles at PKR 100,000-300,000 — this degree sits between the two. As across security, hands-on capability and certifications weigh heavily alongside the qualification.

Computing degrees in Pakistan should hold National Computing Education Accreditation Council recognition, and engineering degrees Pakistan Engineering Council accreditation. Newer and more specialised programmes do not always carry it yet, so verify the accreditation status of the exact programme before enrolling.

Admission Requirements
