Quick Facts

Degree Level	BS
Discipline	Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science
Offered By	102 universities in our directory
Typical Duration	4 years

BS Artificial Intelligence is a four-year undergraduate degree focused on machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing and intelligent systems — a newer, more specialized alternative to a general Computer Science degree for students specifically interested in AI.

What You’ll Study

Typical coursework covers programming and data structures, machine learning and deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and the mathematical foundations (linear algebra, probability, optimization) that underpin them, usually alongside a capstone AI project.

Career Scope & Salary in Pakistan

AI/ML Engineers are among the highest-paid specializations in Pakistan’s tech sector, with salaries commonly cited in the PKR 100,000-300,000/month range according to public salary-data aggregators — well above generalist software development roles. Demand is driven both by local companies building AI features and by remote/international roles, since AI talent is in short supply globally relative to demand.

Admission Requirements

Typically FSc Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical or A-Levels with Mathematics, plus a university-specific admission test. Check each university’s own admissions page for current criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the salary of an AI/ML Engineer in Pakistan?

AI/ML Engineers commonly earn PKR 100,000-300,000/month according to public salary-data aggregators — among the highest-paid specializations in Pakistan's tech sector.

Should I study BS Artificial Intelligence or BS Computer Science?

BS AI gives you a head start specializing in machine learning and intelligent systems specifically; BS Computer Science gives broader foundations across all of software development. Both lead to strong AI career paths — AI is usually a specialization track within a CS degree too.
