BS Architecture is a four-year undergraduate degree in architectural design and building studies. It covers substantially the same ground as the five-year professional B.Architecture but in a shorter format, which has direct consequences for professional registration.

The Registration Question

This is the single most important thing to establish before enrolling. Registration as a practising architect in Pakistan runs through the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners, and PCATP recognition attaches to specific programmes. A four-year BS Architecture may not confer the same registration pathway as a five-year professional B.Architecture. Confirm directly with PCATP and the university whether a particular programme leads to registration, and if not, what additional study would be required.

What You’ll Study

Coursework is studio-centred, supported by architectural history and theory, construction technology and materials, structures, building services, environmental and climate-responsive design, and digital design and visualisation.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Graduates work in architectural design practices, interior design, real estate and property development, construction firms, architectural visualisation and rendering, and design-adjacent roles in urban planning and heritage work. Where full registration is not held, roles are typically within practices under registered architects rather than in independent practice.

Admission Requirements
